A truly excellent hack, with some small scuffs

Repost from Romhacking.net: Specialagentape does it again! Having played the original recently, this colorization patch does so much to improve World 2 that it should be mandatory for any playthrough. Forple’s contributions cannot be understated. His music and sound effect improvement goes such a long way into making World 2 a better experience. No longer will the Gameboy screech at you as you play, nor will the sound effects sound like they are bootleg. I could actually appreciate the melodies of the songs; they’re honestly pretty decent. It’s nice to see the audio driver this game uses disprove its infamous...

Repost from Romhacking.net: Kensuyjin and Marc Max have knocked it out of the park yet again. Mega Man World 3 DX is a perfect love letter to the original while improving on it in all aspects. The colourization and animation work is wonderful. Every single stage is a visual treat, either by mimicking their NES counterparts or having their own takes on the concepts. Snake Man’s stage particularly impressed me with it’s strong pinks creating a “scorching summer sunset”-like atmosphere. I enjoyed it a lot. The reimplemantation of unused animations and adding of new effects are the cherry on top....
Finally a proper PAL 50Hz Hack of Super Mario RPG that the PAL regions missed out on…. Until now thanks to this great hack.

I am so happy to see someone do a proper 50Hz PAL conversion hack of this game that was never officially released in the Europe, UK & Australia regionals by Nintendo. I gave this a go on my SD2SNES cart on my 1-CHIP-02 PAL Super Nintendo console. It absolutely works wonders with it. Played in smooth PAL format, the music is optimised excellently on this. You truly deserve excellent credit where credit's due. So happy that the PAL Europe Hardware users can finally try this game out without having to force to buy a NTSC system.

I remember loathing my time playing the original Circle of the Moon, as I was working my way back in the series after playing Aria of Sorrow and Harmony of Dissonance. Double tapping to get by everywhere was a huge annoyance, but also how the main distinctive mechanic of the game (DDS cards) was locked behind luck based drops off of enemies that could take hours to grind for. On top of that, the game had a ludicrous challenge at the end where you had to whip multiple enemies in a marathon with no MP, further exemplifying how tedious the...

Thanks a lot for replying and posting a link to the XDelta patch. Seems to work like a charm. Really nice addition to the base game! (Originally the XDelta patch was missing, but now it's included in a link in the description)
Megaman 1 – Law of Justice -> new game!?

For the first time I went through this creation on a non-native PC, but not the point. The hack, like the previous creations of this author, is unique, interesting and even very high in quality - it strongly resembles the official continuation of the blue bomber. Plus, I liked the music, which was reminiscent of "Rock" in style. All stages are literate. They are played pleasantly and soundly I will highlight the minimum disadvantages, namely: "I did not understand how to deal with the 2 boss (he replaces CopyBot "aka Mega*Rock*man?") And how to take life in Wily 4... because...

This is a unique Hack with new mechanics and content inside. I've seen very few people like him before. A unique project. Coming out in 2000, he would have clearly been in the golden case of katridge

amazing hack but It would be appropriate to apply the vulnerability option only at the beginning of the game and not in the middle of the game. Congratulations to its creators, they are truly professionals.

Ambitious and innovative ARPG with a genuine translation

Chronicle of the Radia War is a little known ARPG for the NES. It feels a bit like a Mana game, with its action based combat. In this game however, you've got up to 4 partners fighting along side you. Radia War is a pretty ambitious game with loads of original ideas. For example there are random encounters, but the battles themselves play out like an action game. There isn't a separate battle screen either, they just play out on the exploration screen... in a NES game...four years before Chrono Trigger(!). Playing Radia War you are regularly surprised by design...

Earth Seeker is a pretty obscure ARPG that never saw the light of day outside of Japan and in its homeland it was largely ignored when it released. I read about the premise of Earth Seeker back in the day and was intrigued by its setting and graphics. For years it seemed pretty unlikely that the English speaking community would ever experience Earth Seeker. In comes Brand Newman, who has made it his mission to translate interesting JP only Wii games. Brand made a quality translation with attention to detail. Not only the text is translated, but he also painstakingly...

After a complete playthrough of Zelda 2 Redux I can safely recommend this hack to all players who are hesitant to try out Zelda 2 for themselves. Zelda 2 Redux fixes almost all annoying aspects of Zelda 2, while keeping the great things intact. Gone is the long grind and the broken lives system. Gone are annoying enemies that steal your exp and take endless time to kill. In is a save system, restart at a temple when you die, better balancing, better dialogue, and many other things. Finally you can just enjoy the game's best sides: The world exploration,...

An Awesome Hack For Your Streets Of Rage Library

I've always preferred the first Streets of Rage game to parts 2 and 3, I think it has the best music and I like how in each stage, the setting remains the same all the way through. This hack by BillyTime Games is awesome and definitely worth trying out. In the original retail version, selecting yes when reaching Mr.X would send you back to Stage 6 over and over until you selected no, but in this hack selecting yes only sends you back to stage 6 once, the next time you meet Mr.X he doesn't ask you a second time...
This Underlying Issue Finally Got Addressed And It’s Great!

For years and years it was an underlying issue not spoken or talked about much on other forums. For whatever reason, on an original Sega Mega Drive/Genesis console this game only worked with 3 button controllers and only the official Sega 6 button control pad, no third party 6 button controllers would work properly with this game, buttons start and C wouldn't respond with each input and even adding an external extension cable to make the cord length longer onto the official Sega 6 button controller would make buttons start and C very jerky again not responding with each input...
Not Only The Best Port Of Lemmings But The Prettiest Lemmings Hack On The Sega Mega Drive!

This port of Lemmings for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis has always held a special place in my heart, it has one of the greatest soundtracks to ever grace the console, the graphics are also very accurate to the Amiga original, this version also has more content than all the other ports on other consoles, plus this port is nostalgic to me my parents bought it for me way back in 1994 when I was 10 years old and it's always been a game with great replay value getting me to constantly revisit it every 2 or 3 years. I know...

Absolutely brilliant Hack. I'll say this though. This game is very enjoyable to play. Like the splash screen says in the start. It truly works on a real Sega MegaDrive console like it's suppose to. Glad the music on this has been optimised to run on a PAL System. Thank you. ^^
Wireless controller fix for Mortal Kombat – Arcade Edition Enhanced..

Although designed for the stock rom, I took a chance and added this on top of the MK Arcade EE hoping to fix a controller issue with the game. The Arcade Edition is absolutely great but alot more taxing, so its no suprise, it has some slowdown at times, so an OverClocked system will ofcourse mitigate the issue. I myself am using a pair of 8bitdo pads, and controls goes out the window doing exatly that.. So back to stock speed i went.. Well no more, cos the solution is here.. This hack from BillyTime fixes the issue.. The controlls...

First of all, I need to preface this by saying this is an important project, and I want it to succeed. I have to make this preface, because such a review is going to dig deep and focus on how to make the (many at this point) flaws better. Character art cohesionVery ambitious and comprehensive changes are being made here, and I hope they continue to improve over time. The level select character portraits replacements are fantastic, for the most part. Lots of work was put into making those look good, and it shows. You can see how much love...
