A simple, unfinished experiment that was repurposed into a boss rush, with the main gimmick being that most of the colors are inverted. This hack includes:
- Boss-centered gameplay
- Higher difficulty
- Free E-Tanks from starting a new game or continuing from a game over
- Faster heads-up displays for both the Robot Masters and Mega Man
- New color palettes
- Modified Robot Master ASM
- Modified weapons
- Modified weaknesses
- A few sprite changes
Update (3/9/26): I have decided to abandon this hack after YouTuber NARFNra introduced me to a Japanese wiki that lists hacking notes for Rockman 2.
Update (3/30/26): I’m currently working on a hack called Rockman 2 Maboroshi no Sho (The Phantom Chapter in Japanese).

PineTools ~ helped me determine the hack's colors using the color inverter tool; I used this tool alongside an image of the NES' color palette: https://pinetools.com/invert-color
Yum0987654321 ~ preservation of the hack's early versions; if I remember correctly, they also suggested the hack being a boss rush due to the strong focus on Robot Masters
