Amazing hack, absolutely worth playing. The effort that went into this is astounding. The music is great, the setting is awesome, the dungeon design is mind-bogglingly complex. The writing is witty and fun. This is the true Downfall Timeline's sequel. Just don't switch items while using a Bottle.
Outdated and unreliable tool.

This utility is not suitable for working with large files, such as a CD disk image.Contains an error in the algorithm that greatly increases the time it takes to find differences.

I wish that JCDenton's patches got more attention. It bothers me that there hasn't been more of these "START Begone" patches made for these SNES games: Ganbare Goemon Kirakira Dochuu: Boku ga Dancer ni Natta Riyuu The Great Circus Mystery Starring Mickey & Minnie Ganbare Goemon 2: Kiteretsu Shogun Magginesu Mighty Morphin Power Rangers the Movie Pop'n TwinBee (Switch Online) TMNT IV: Turtles in Time Captain Commando The Peace Keepers

Good hack, but Classic Mode does not work. The patch reduces the ROM to less than a meg, and therefore will not load. Please fix this, as I really would like to try it out!

And yes, I'm patching the default one first, then the Classic Mode patch.
Very amazing job with this hack. Would like to see you do this for the other 3 games.

Wonderful job on this. I like the idea of autobooting to Pac-Attack without menu navigation but I must ask, can you also do this with Pac-Man, Pac-Man Arrangement, and Pac-Mania? If Possible can you also do this with Namco Museum (GBA)? Would like to see the standalone versions of the 5 games from there as well.
I wish this was available sooner… I love this plugin!

This plugin is a godsend when it comes to looking up compressed Konami RLE graphics! This would've made looking up graphics in my old Dracula 2 and Nicol projects easier to find the necessary graphics at the time. However, it does help me look for the area where I need to decompress. (I only wish it was possible to edit directly in YY-CHR via this plugin, but any port in a storm.) Thank you so much for adding this plugin to YY-CHR!
Works Well With Other JP ROM Improvement Hacks

Nowadays I've mostly been playing Mega Man 6 through the JP ROM alongside gameplay only enhancements such as Puresabe's Speed Optimization patch and MetHy's Start With Adaptors hack. While great hacks in their own right, I wanted to also read the small bits of texts available in between the gameplay despite myself not understanding Japanese that well at the time of this review. This translation worked flawlessly with the hacks I mentioned prior and was a cute way to revisit the game's silly plot of Dr. Wily wearing a cape and glasses at everyone's disbelief.

Hello everyone. I´m going to make a review of the game based on my experience, It will be spoilers: Sorry for my poor english, I just studied basic. First of all I want to say thank you to Shadow501 for this project. I had a good time and It´s in my plans to play it again. Last month I played S1 and S2 HD and after finish them I started playing this Rom, I never play any Suikoden before and I have to say that for me, Odessa was the best character of both games, that´s why I really like...
An Excellent Recolor Alongside Minor But Notable Control Fixes

The black costume from the early 90's films is best accentuated in this hack being displayed on the game's glorious sprite for Batman. Stage clears and the intro have also been appropriately recolored to the same quality as the original game. If the blue color for Batman doesn't appeal to you, try this great Sunsoft action platformer with this hack for a new sleek costume to enjoy. An extra addition to the palette swap is omega_rugal's movement hack which aids the game's pacing without major changes to the player's physics besides a more reliably short slide. This hack specifically can...
Exciting Patch That Makes The Game More Enjoyable

Having each checkpoint award you with 45 additional seconds every time you cross to the next stage makes the game very easy and forgivable to many crashes. If good enough, you can plow through the arcade mode with each checkpoint giving you so much time that the timer gets to 99 seconds. This is now my go to ROM patch from now on when playing ''Super Hang-On''. Simple but very effective patch. Love it! 5 out of 5 stars!

Just WOW! I didn't even know that SNES Lemmings needed this treatment so much till I've seen the results. It'd be nice to have a japanese compatible version (not uncensoring needed ;D ). Anyway thank you very much for this welcome addition :D

Now, I've been somewhat obsessive over this hack since its first iteration dropped by Master Linkuei, Billytime, Danilo and Chev, but the subtle corrections that Rael has implemented has polished this old game up to a near mirror sheen. The original hack was impressive but the little bit of jank left over upon its first public release has all but vanished. Was a big fan of the hack in its vanilla form but Rael has ascended this from a merely damn good hack to a veritable piece of fine art. I hope he keeps making incremental improvements and that one...

I am very glad that we have a translation patch for this game, there may not be a lot of writing in this game but it allows more players to embrace in one of the lesser known titles for the FDS. If you liked Legend of Zelda or those top-down segments in Blaster Master, this game is for you.

I am amazed at what J.Russell has done to this port of Lemmings! In this hack of Lemmings for the PAL SNES Josh has improved it greatly by restoring all the original shades and tinges to all the level tile set colour palettes. The Icy crystal blue ones now have that black centre of the poles, the marble, rusted brick tiles look better, the red hell fire levels look more darker and scarier. Josh has also changed some of the level titles on his own and used the correct spelling for TRICKY 17 ''Diet Lemmingade'' The SUNSOFT special 5 levels...

Okay i've played through the hack from start to finish and am very pleased with all the in-game dialogue being changed to English and being able to finally understand what the characters are talking about before battle. The game's story makes almost no sense and the characters that Arle encounters are almost put in at random from different cultures and myths, but many Japanese games of this era tend to continue in a way that makes no sense at all and back in the day not originally being available for a Western audience means these games can get away with...
Simple But Well Executed Recolor With A New Take On Cutscenes
Written by:

March 5, 2025
The translation made to have Batman's sprite reflect more closely to the movie's counterpart is so effective in this hack that it leaves me to wonder why this recolor wasn't implemented with the game's first release. While the darkened suit may seem like it'd make player readability more tasking, Batman's sprite has just enough gray pixels around his figure that he doesn't completely camouflage in any of the game's backgrounds. On top of the awesome sprite recolor during gameplay, great attention to detail was made to fit Batman's blackened color scheme with the newly added prototype cutscenes. Joker's mugshot is...

Very cool addition, and sooooo much better than the crystal gimmick, and obviosly a lot more true to the series imo.. Works perfectly on a clean rom, however it, is not compatible with the Revised Edition in my testing. To bad, cos unfotunatly that makes this otherwise awsome hack a miss for me. Hopefully this limitation will be fixed in the future.. I one were to prefer the standard game over the Revised Edtition tho, this is a must have.. Review By: 2Spaz-4-U

The original colors of the game were chosen for a specific reason - for color readability and accents. This is the work of designers. Nostalgia also plays an important role. In the hack, a black hero appears on black backgrounds.
