This is just a Level Title Fix & Original Level Restore Hack for the PAL Super Nintendo version of Lemmings.

Thought I also release this one without the Colour Palette changes. But decided to also release this without the Colour Palette improvements for those who prefer the SNES colour palette’s better.
This is to not only fix up some of the Level Titles. But also restore some of the original levels that unfortunately got altered by Nintendo of America due to their very strict censorship law. This is where I come in.

Little do they know, those altered levels happen to have their very own level IDs. So what does that mean? It means that the original level ID that can be played on the Japan Super Famicom version of Lemmings are still stored on the ROM on the NTSC-U and PAL version release.

I took it upon myself to use a HEX editor to go ahead and change the HEX values of the level ID’s by looking at the Japanese Lemmings ROM file on HEX and implimented them to this ROM hack patch. Saved it. Tested it on the SNES9x emulator. put in all the PAL Europe passwords. checked the levels. And wallah! Those levels are now playable on this patch.

LASTLY, I also renamed ALL the 5 SUNSOFT rating Levels to the ones that are named on the SEGA MegaDrive/Genesis version port.

• Level 3 Taxing – Heaven can wait (we hope!!!!)
• Level 16 Taxing – Marry Poppins’ land

ALL SUNSOFT LEVELS TITLES RENAMED TO THE ONES SHOWN ON THE SEGA MEGADRIVE/GENESIS VERSION:

• Level 1 SUNSOFT – Two heads are better…
• Level 2 SUNSOFT – I am A.T.
• Level 3 SUNSOFT – Private room available
• Level 4 SUNSOFT – Final impediment
• Level 5 SUNSOFT – Lemmings’ Ark

RESTORED THE LEVELS THAT WERE CENSORED BY NINTENDO OF AMERICA:
Level 21 Tricky – All the 6’s ……..
Restored Level 16 Fun & Level 3 Taxing level to show HEAVEN than PARADISE!
Level 24 Taxing – Take a running jump….. Has it’s original level layout restored to show DEATH rather than TERMINATE.
Level 17 2 Player mode Map is restored.

“NOTE: Do NOT patch this Hack with the Lemmings v1.0 or v1.1 USA Revision ROM or the Lemmings Japan ROM. it will not work. You MUST patch this with the Lemmings Europe PAL ROM.”

I can confirm this ROM hack is compatible to run on real hardware using the SD2SNES Flashcart on a real Super Nintendo Hardware using SNSP-CPU-1CHIP-02 motherboard revision.
