Junio Sonic In Sonic 1 is a very pretty Sonic 1 hack that features a new Toei design for Sonic, different colour palette for all levels, badniks item boxes with a graphic makeover, Sonic CD camera style, Super peel out, spin dash and much more! It is also a very similar Sonic hack to ”Modgen Sonic In Sonic 1” also by The Dark Paradox.

There’s not much more to add here.

Features

• All levels have a different colour palette and look gorgeous!
• Sonic’s sprites use the ”Junio” Toei art made by Axel.
• New hud and fonts for the title cards.
• Features the Sonic CD style camera allowing you to see more on screen.
• Has the spin dash.
• Has the super peel out dash.
• Item boxes are now containers with new art.
• All badniks have been redrawn and changed.
• Very small parts of the level maps have been altered.
• The usual enhancements are here like Green Hill’s cloud scrolling, Labyrinth’s rippling water etc.
• Some bosses are slightly harder.
• The cheat code on the title screen takes you to a Sonic 2 style level select screen.

Instructions

Inside the ZIP file you’ll find the IPS patch, it is in Lunar IPS format and simply needs to be patched to the (European/USA) version of Sonic The Hedgehog.

Notes

When inputting the cheat code on the title screen, if the game halts to an endless black screen, just press button C on your controller and the level select will show up.

I also would like to make it clear that nothing is stolen in this ROM hack. Everybody with a contribution is added in the credits section.
