JJ – Tobidase Daisakusen Part II is an action game released by Square for the Nintendo Entertainment System in 1987. It is the sequel of the Famicom Disk System game Tobidase Daisakusen, which was released in the United States as The 3-D Battles of WorldRunner. Like in the first game, you play as Jack, whose mission is to run across a foreign planet to kill dragons.

This patch translates the game into English. The only Japanese text in the game were the transliterated subtitle on the title screen and the ending graphics. The game is now called “JJ – Operation: Jump Out – Part II” to be consistent with the translation of the first game by BlackPaladin.

Additionally, some improvements were done to the title screen like arranging tiles to fit the translated subtitle, fixing the copyright symbol that was too large (causing color spillover), and filling two empty squares with the correct graphic tiles. The font in the ending sequence was also changed.

Included in the translation is the Pulse Buzz Fix patch (courtesy of TakuikaNinja).

Two patches are available, in IPS and BPS format. (Don’t use both patches.)

Note: During gameplay, press the Select button and you’ll enable an anaglyphic 3D mode that will require 3D glasses (specifically the ones with lens one red, the other blue).
