Sonic 1 Cartoony Winter (Genesis) Romhack

Sonic 1 Cartoony Winter is a brand new Sonic 1 ROM hack created by Mildanner and Gavin Graham, with help from ProjectFM and Vladikcomper.

This ROM hack has a Christmas themed colour palette with different music tracks on each level. The Sonic sprites are implemented by Mildanner from his own open source Purish engine.

FEATURES:

New Christmas Winter themed colour palette for each zone.
New, rearranged and borrowed music tracks.
Purish engine CA22 Sonic sprites.
New hud and font.

INSTRUCTIONS:

Inside the ZIP file you’ll find the IPS patch, it is in Lunar IPS format and simply needs to be patched to the USA/European version of Sonic The Hedgehog for Mega Drive/Genesis.

NOTES:

This is just a simple Sonic 1 ROM hack and as far as I know, nothing has been stolen. Everything used is open source and or free for the public to use and those who helped in some way are credited in the credits section as rightfully so. There are no stolen assets used unlike (Sonic 1 Under Neat). I (Adrian) was asked to put this ROM hack up on here as an entry, it wasn’t my personal choice. Everything has been checked carefully this time by the modders.

May I please ask that if anybody has a problem with this entry to please notify me – the sharer (Adrian Gauna) personally on here and state the reason you object to it. If the reasons are valid and or I get several complaints I will remove it myself. Please don’t ask staff on RomHack Plaza to remove it as I will be hit with another ”Locked Entry” which is not good for my personal rating and I don’t want to get banned. I’m not here to annoy people, I just love sharing ROM hacks with the community, either made by myself or made by other people.

Finally, the two modders who put this ROM hack together are not liked that much in the community and have a somewhat troubled history, I am not affiliated with any alleged shady or dodgy shenanigans from either of these two and do not accept stolen things without permission so please don’t put me in the same group. I am merely the one sharing it to the community based on there being nothing stolen with everything open source and used with permission.
