Enjoy this hack created for the SMB Arena SMB Jam of Summer 2023!

Travel through 5 groovy levels as both Peach and Mario in the search for the ultimate Discothèque!

Mario and Peach each have an unique ability and the player can switch between them during gameplay at will. Experience a brand new enemy, the disco Lakitu, a hip cat who can either drop helpful power ups or dangerous foes. And lastly, a new P-Wing power up will let Mario and Peach swim through the skies!

Uncut is the original version of the romhack, the clean version removes drug/alcohol references and swearing.

New in v1.1:

  • Mario and peach now have unique abilities. Mario has a temporary star power while rising during his jump. Peach has her traditional float mechanic.
  • You can switch between the two with the select button at any time as long as both are alive still 🙂
  • You don’t lose fire power on damage, only on death.

Bug fixes:

  • Floating text for 1 ups properly working again
  • Add missing halfway points for levels
  • fix fast death sometimes happening for regular levels
  • V1.1.1 Added an error screen if your emulator cannot play this hack.

I can’t get this to run on my 3DS. Used the correct hashes. It doesn’t want to run on any of the injection methods. It doesn’t boot up on VirtuaNES on my computer either. Only on NEStopia. Bummer!

Will contact the author to see if he can fix! It does work beautifully on MESEN2 though.

I would suggest, if possible, to use a more accurate core with retroarch.
