An incredible 12 year project, this boasts so many new features, including new powerups, new maps, enemies, mechanics, physics, a day/night system and so much more!!

From the author’s site:

It has been nearly 12 years since this project began. Many of this game’s elements are iterations and polishes on concepts found in prior projects. Mario Adventure 3 is more than a 12 year project, it’s a 20 year amalgamation of ideas waiting to see fruition. Many of the ideas seen in Mario Adventure 3 are improvements of prior game ideas:
Day and night system (Mario Adventure)
Weather effects (Mario Adventure)
Item shop (Mario Adventure and Luigi vs Mario)
Exploration heavy (Luigi’s Coin Quest)
Traversing and backtracking worlds across the entire game with no cutscenes (Luigi’s Coin Quest)
Hidden collectibles to gain access to blocked areas (Luigi vs Mario)
And so much more!
Overall, this is an ambitious projects that has involved:

A tile collision system built from the ground up
Object handling system rewritten from scratch
Every enemy rewritten from the ground up

Mario Adventure 3 has so many new features that it doesn’t feel like just a Hack, it feels like Nintendo made a New Super Mario Bros. Game for the NES. The Stages, Bosses, New Items and Training Upgrades that add a RPG Element are all well thought out and make the Game FUN to Play.

PLUS with the Game getting Updated it ONLY gets BETTER!

I want to Thank the Team that has put 12 Years into making this INCREDIBLE Game, Thanks for ALL the TIME and EFFORT.

MARIO ADVENTURE 3, GO PLAY IT!!!

Mario Adventure 3 would been a worthy sequal in the 90s! And feels awsome to play today!

This does not feel like a hack this is a brand new Mario game!

Surprises behind every corner! New everything and the new physics feel super smooth to play. How can you put so much stuff into a NES game that small? Seems like magic.
