GALAGA: MOGURIGA Edition (Version 1.0) is a hack of the Japanese version of the game «GALAGA (ギャラガ)». This hack clearly has a theme based on the games of the “Final Fantasy” series for NES and takes as reference several characters from said games to modify the original sprites of Galaga for some recognizable characters from the JRPG game saga.
The list of features, additions and changes introduced by the hack is as follows:
- Modification of the title screen logo.
- Added in-game text changes to accommodate the new sprite theme.
- Added modification of all original game sprites and their replacement with sprites from the following NES and SNES games: Final Fantasy I (NES), Final Fantasy II (NES), Final Fantasy VII (C) / [NJ063] Final Fantasy VII (NES/Famicom), Final Fantasy III (Famicom), and Final Fantasy IV (Super Famicom).
