This just replaces Donkey Kong with Dixie Kong. Enjoy!
Patch a 1.0 U unheadered version with this
========================================================
Thanks to Phyreburnz/Molly Snyder, who provided some of the gfx/sprites I used. You can find more of her work here! https://www.deviantart.com/phyreburnz
Also thanks Mattrizzle for his research on animation!
This does not work on console!

Most of the files you're about to download need to be applied to your game. Here is a list of utilities that allow you to do this:
- Online Patcher: Marc Roblero's online patcher. Works with many different file types.
- Floating IPS: NWell-known patcher for applying IPS and BPS files.
- Delta Patcher: Used to apply xDelta files.
- More Patchers
On most files, you can also press “Patch It”, to apply the patch without downloading the file.
While I know this has nothing to do with the Hack…
I want to make a request…for all SNES versions of Donkey Kong Country 2.
This is a Bugfix Hack.
It fixes the infamous Castle Crush glitch, by having the DK barrels float in the air instead of being on the ground…and removing the Kutlass that guards the Rambi Barrel.
The TNT barrel is the only one that needs to stay on the ground in order to enter the second bonus section.
The Rickety Race glitch is the other infamous one…through I’m not sure how that can be fixed.
It bothers me…that no one on the internet has attempted to fix these bugs.
I’m sorry. I have to politely decline this request. I, personally, don’t see the value in changing this… that, and there are plenty of DKC2 hackers that can do this.
Best of luck!
I patched this using the correct CRC-32 with both FLIPS and the patcher provided on this site and it always results in a corrupted file. I used two different downloads of the ROM and get the same result.
I’ve never used the patcher built-in to this site, so I can’t make any judgment there. But I used Lunar IPS https://romhackplaza.org/utilities/lunar-ips-lips-utility/
Same result. Do I need a different version of DKC? I’m using a v1.0 unheadered ROM with the CRC-32 c946dca0.
How is it corrupt? I feel you are mistakenly using the wrong file/version. How big is your rom? 4.096mb or 4.097?
4096
“____” [bad checksum] ExHiROM, Corru
pt, ROM+RAM+BAT, NTSC, SRAM:Corrupt,
ID:b__, CRC32:BB869CBD
that’s what pops up when I try to load the game. The game will not boot.I’m using the CRC32 that is recommended in the post.
I’m not getting those reults in the slightest, Could you please walk me through, set by step, of what you are doing?
This CRC32 after patching is shown in SNES 9X right? When you check the file in any other tool you get a different CRC32..
For example try the RHDN rom hasher.
It works for me in any other emulator I tried. SNES 9X does not boot.. I will do more testing later and tell Rainbow if I find anything.
Should be fixed:
https://github.com/snes9xgit/snes9x/issues/874
Well still did not boot for me.. may be investigate a bit and start a new issue on SNES 9X github.
I think that this is an emulator issue. Iirc, the checksum is wrong. I never fixed because every emulator I tried never bothered to verify. If you are trying to use on console, I said somewhere up there that this is emu only. Best of luck on resolving this!
