Sonic 2 – S1GG Sonic: Play As a Smaller Sonic!

Ever thought it was weir that the Game Gear port of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 reuses Sonic’s Master System sprites instead of the unique Game Gear sprites made for Sonic 1 to accommodate for the smaller screen size? What if this port of the game actually USES those game gear sprites?

Well this hack bring that idea to life! Sonic 2 – S1GG Sonic is a ROM Hack of Sonic The Hedgehog 2 for the Game Gear that replaces all of Sonic’s in-game sprites with the ones seen in the Game Gear port of Sonic The Hedgehog 1. It even includes custom sprites not seen in the original game.
