Atari 2600’s “Dolphin” From Activision Gets a PAL Version Hack. ( A Real PAL 50Hz Hack ) Now at V1.1 FINAL

A PAL version Hack of Dolphin by Activision for the Atari 2600/Video Computer System  NOW AT v1.1 FINAL

For all the PAL 50Hz Gamers out there. I am happy to announce that as of 13th July 2025. I have put into work to ROM Hacking H.E.S.’s 2 in 1 PAK that has 2 games in the ROM called Dolphin & Pigs ‘N’ Wolf (Oink!)

Tweaking on Hack-O-Matic 3 which is a software to change palettes & sprite editing for the Atari 2600 ROMs. I took it upon myself to hack this ROM  by splitting the ROM size to 4KB to make this game run as a one individual game on it’s own. That part was easy to do.

This is where it got technical. I also looked up the BIN file of the NTSC release of Activision’s Dolphin and looking at the newly PAL Hack  to go and add where it says “Copyright 1983” and the Activision logo with the rainbow banner.

I not only added that to the data of the BIN rom, I did have to check the addresses to change the values so that the Activision logo would appear as the HES  2 in 1 PAK version originally had the Activision logo absent from it. I took it upon myself to add them to the ROM hack to make it look like a official PAL version release of Dolphin.

This is NOT a PAL60 hack. This is a 100% Genuine 50hz PAL ROM Hack.
