Tetris The Grand Master 2 Plus has 3 special codes that can be input at title screen. The codes are long and somewhat complicated.
This patch simplifies each of the codes into one simple press on the joystick:
Left: big block mode
Down: 20G – instant drop gravity
Right: TLS – piece preview
To patch, unzip your “tgm2p.zip” file, and simply use your favorite IPS patcher on each of the files “2b.u21″ and ″1b.u22″. After patching those files, put them back into the “tgm2p.zip” file – you’re ready to go.
If you’re interested in using this modification in Retroarch with FBNeo, you simply need to put the modified “tgm2p.zip” into this directory: “SYSTEM_DIRECTORY/fbneo/patched”. Once the modified file is placed there, the game will launch in Retroarch as this “easy codes input” version.
To play a modified ROM in MAME, you must launch from the command line, such as “mame tgm2p”.
