This is a rom hack of the European Classic Series version of Mario Bros. on NES that changes the plumber’s graphics to Sonic the Hedgehog. Sonic’s gloves have been made red both for visibility reasons and palette limitations.
Player 2 is Ashura, the Sonic 2 glitch character, although in-game, he is named “Ashra” due to a 5-letter limit on both instances a character’s name is displayed. (After a bonus round and getting a game over in a 2-player game.)
The title screen has been left intact from the vanilla game for now, but I plan on changing it in a future release. That’s the only reason this isn’t a completed hack.
