A New Way to Play Mega Man X3
Features of Stable Build: Leveling Buster Damage
- Each Maverick you defeat, your X-Buster gets an increased damage bonus.
- Each Buster charge level gets the same damage bonus.
- This completes the Vaporized trilogy of the Mega Man X series.

1. Saber Module
- Damage bonus moved to Z-Saber.
- Z-Saber available from the start.
- Z-Saber no longer requires charging.
- Z-Saber base damage lowered to zero.
- Dedicated new button for the Z-Saber.
2. Zero Module
- Zero can be summoned and resummoned to any stage. This includes boss fights.
- Zero can use Maverick weapons.
- Zero has the same max health as X.
- Zero shares the same stock of extra lives as X.
- Keep the same character when you lose a life or advance a stage.
- Zero’s current health stored in save RAM.
- Zero can collect hearts, sub-tanks, capsule upgrades, and Ride-Armor chips.
- Zero can air dash but cannot up-dash due to graphical glitches. These arise from the lack of up-dashing sprites for Zero.
- Zero can collect health to fill sub-tanks.
3. Open Module
- The intro stage is skipped.
- You can exit any stage, including ones you haven’t beaten.
- You can access the first Doppler stage from the start.
- The Dr. Doppler intro cutscenes are skipped.
- Capsule dialogue skipped.
- Bosses have minimal invulnerability frames when taking damage.
- Challenge Sigma directly, or farm the Mavericks to power up your Z-Saber!
4. Rando Module
- Random chance to get awarded a weapon drop when picking up health or weapon energy.
- The award includes powering up your Z-Saber by one level.
- The award also marks the Maverick as being defeated.
- Rando can be turned off by setting sound mode to monaural.
