To be honest, as a kid I always found the song selection in this game to be a huge turn off. And while I heard better things of the JP song selection, I always found the idea of giving the that version a whirl daunting because of the language barrier (despite being a rhythm game which makes that a bit silly of a point, but i digress haha).
