Can you post a screenshot and/or send a link to a Mesen save state before this happens? If there is an error in the patch, I want to see it for myself and fix it ASAP.
Note: The level cap does not prevent you from continuing to gain levels. Once your Pokemon passes the level cap, it will stop obeying you.
Just find one error where the book clue beside Deborah Cliff is a mess.. was it just me?
Update 1.1 (11/20/2024): Reverse XP Patch added. Enemies get stronger and more durable with each level up. Throws remain unaffected. ;)

To make 'Sonic 2 & Knuckles Long Version 2.0.ips' work, simply use the 'Sonic and Knuckles & Sonic 2 (W) [f1].bin' rom.
What you said at the end is completely true. It's better to stick to the original NTSC 60Hz version.
It is great to see someone concerned with this stuff and fixing it. Thank you! BTW, Goros idle and defending anims have inconsistent frame offsets.
I have multiple spell checkers installed.. then I get confused what it wants and may replace stuff with words that do not make sense with the context.. makes writing even more annoying as it is already for me. Most of the time I need to get something across. I did think I did copy pasted the title since misspelling just happens a lot on my side. I try to get better with it but I can not grantee it. As long as I do not have to subscribe medical stuff it should not kill anyone..(touching wood)

I can't find the version of Rockman required by this patch. I even checked all CRCs for Mega man 4/Rockman 4 in GoodNES v3.23b A Google search only returns references to this hack. Are you sure the CRC is correct?
