I will check this later in the hack comparing with the original game, the first time I played I didn't notice this increase in difficulty, but if there was any change like that you mentioned, it was certainly due to the addition of codes from the prototype version, which is very different from the final version, I will check it here and give you the answer.
To kill an enemy or boss you have to hit them more times then in the original game, and the shortcut paths are not in the stages.
Here's a list of Twilight Menu circle pad hacks. https://gbatemp.net/threads/circle-pad-patches-for-super-mario-64-ds-and-other-games-in-twilightmenu-with-twpatcher-and-rtcom.623267/
I can try to combine the DPAD hack with my work. I'll look into it. In the meantime, remember that I also included the .cht files, so in theory you should be able to combine it yourself.
Sure but the information about the bad dump is verified? Nobody on the repository mentioned that as an issue. I really think that Dpad (and also Circlepad) hacks are worth. I know it's hard to do that stuffs but i really hate cranky nintendo gimmicks. Somegames are cool with that stuffs, but i really prefer standard controller. I remember hating twewy for the gameplay (and loving the story). To this days i still wonder how to play in both screens ahahahah
The work shifted to the TwilightMenu++ custom firmware for 3DS. Hacks exist that not only enable buttons and dpad, but also the 3DS Circlepad.
The hack by Greiga Master on RHDN uses the bad dump. The reviewer at the top does not recommend the hack because of that.
https://github.com/StraDaMa/Legend-of-Zelda-Spirit-Tracks-D-Pad-Patch Eu rom and us rom used for this are both bad dumps? Nobody tried to make a new version of this even with source code?
I don't have database / list for that. If you want, on your hacks, you can precise it in Hashes textarea. ;)
Most ROMS on the Mega Drive/Genesis don't care if the hash doesn't match or whether it's a really clean No-Intro set or not like the Sonic games, most games will patch without a problem, but there are a few really sensitive rogue ROMs on the system that chuck a hissy fit the moment they're touched and throw errors, bugs and red screens at us like Road Rash, Super Street Fighter II and Streets of Rage 1. This patch for whatever reason required a No-Intro ROM where as the other SOR1 patch with the different character palettes and extra stuff added didn't.
