It is possible. Just keep flailing back and forth with B pressed until you smash the pot. Fortunately there's no time limit for that one.
Coincidently, the night this hack got posted, I was just looking for a way to get this game running on MacBook with tilt controls (thought my Switch Pro Controller could substitute as a way to enable them again but no such luck). Got to play this hack for the first set of mini games and everything worked pretty well from what I could tell given how you can now change both the direction and speed of tilting manually using buttons. I would still recommend anyone try this game on a phone via Delta Emulator or even an original GBA if you can buy it, but this hack still sets out what it means to do pretty well for anyone not too big on motion controls in general. If you're not playing for the tilt controls however, I'd just recommend the other original Warioware game on the same hardware.
https://rhdn-archive.romhackplaza.org/?download=[7919]Castlevania%20Rondo%20Of%20The%20Night%201.7.zip This should be the latest version (as of today). Seems like there have been a few updates since Spike left. You can use the online patcher to check the hash info of your file and also apply the patch. You'll have to search around to make sure you have the right game file. Online patcher: https://romhackplaza.org/patch/ Hash info from latest archived copy: File/ROM SHA-1: F967119E006695A59A6442237F9FC7C7811CF7BF File/ROM CRC32: 5BE47B Barring any system problems, you should be able to perform a quick test with no$psx (Windows) or one of the RetroArch cores. https://romhackplaza.org/utilities/nopsx-utility/ https://www.retroarch.com/
seems I cant find the right rom file or version i guess. ive gotten several and they just wont match up.
so i have no idea how to get this to work. ive applied the file to my original rom and attempted to run it on two different emulators and i got nothing. i cant find any info at all regarding how to install and play or on what emulator is preferred. both emulators ive been using will say its too large.
If you're using it with the English translation, then it's obvious that it doesn't work. The description clearly states that it's not compatible with the English patch.
Always a pleasure Adrian. ^^ Thank you. Glad you really like the new and improved version than the retailed version. Enjoy.
It's definitely a prettier version of the game with even more colour edits than before. Very grateful to have worked on this project alongside Josh. Well done J.Russell Retro gaming! This patch is now the best version of this game available.
Indeed, I only use headerless NoIntro ROMs (which is the standard for hacks I think). I thought it was indicated in the description. I corrected it (and I took the opportunity to add some credits because the game is really difficult ^^).
Sorry to say, this version doesn't work on real hardware, it crashes at the Sonic Retro splash screen.
Thanks for the hack! Is it possible to add some sort of statement that the patch needs to be applied to a headerless ROM file? After removing the 200h bytes long header I got the correct CRC-32 result and was able to patch the ROM successfully. However, I use the Mednafen emulator and for some reason it struggles with the .pce. After changing the extension to .sgx it worked fine.
Really thought 'NUDE Romhacks' was a term to describe debug tools for older games but nah it really just means pixel nudity :^P

I don't plan on it, unfortunately. I like the Tecmo games a lot more, so my priorities will probably go to Captain Tsubasa Sega CD for now, and the rest as I get to them (or if CD proves too difficult).
