Another amazing work from Billy, but it’d be great if there were separate patches for the “Easier Double Jump” and the “Slightly Higher jump height”. Thanks!!

So far, everything works as expected. One side note, I'd like to have this compatible with the retranslation project (https://www.romhacking.net/translations/2340/). Hope the author can see this, the full turn based version does not work with it. Other than that, great hack!

The game is not possible. There is no way to save the hostage in the first-level bunker. I launched the game on Mednafen with a widescreen display, but there is no widescreen expansion in the game
Absolutely perfect!

This hack does what it says it does. Totally flawless implementation. Definitely recommend it if you just want to be stress free while playing the game :)

Fixing the soul drop rate is a must for everyone. The toggle function and some changes on weapons animations is a must have, now the katana is really cool. Thank you for this.
Ambitious, but doesn’t work on console

It's clear that a lot of work went into this ROM hack, and the beginning of it is fun to play. However, you soon reach blue blocks that you're supposed to remove by playing a song. This does not work on console, making it impossible to proceed. Aside from that, I also ran into a crash when I paused the game, and the magic meter is mostly cut off at the edge of the screen. All these problems make it clear that the hack was never tested on console.
Really an interesting new way to traverse the castle!

Okay so to start - I've been playing SotN for decades and I know this game upside down like the back of my hand. And I still play the original version from time to time...and I wanted more from it. So when I knew about this romhack, I'm immediately excited and tried it. And I loved it! Seeing the old familiar castle but now with different paths to take, some hidden pathways, new items location, different progression upgrades (more to this later) and some altered weapons and other QoL improvement....man I feel like playing this game for the first time...
If youve played every hack of SOTN and desperately need something more… I guess this is certainly more

It is clear a lot of work went into this but it seems to miss entirely what made SOTN fun in the first place. PROThis is a new way to play SOTN. If you are still playing SOTN daily and have been for the past 20 years; then certainly this is new content to experience. CONSPretty much everything. Pathing is a nightmare for the beginning; filled with constantly awkward jumps and awkward movement. The 'platforming' is a huge step back and feels tedious and unfun to engage with for the most part. Leveling feels pointless and unrewarding; essentially ripping the...

I can see the vision that the dev was going for, for sure. Let's start with what this hack does well: PROS New layouts are interesting, if a little confusing in ways that are mostly just due to a bit of poor environmental guidance or just strange choices as a whole. Rebalancing of the enemies to be based around weaknesses and resistances is interesting, but it comes with its drawbacks. Exploration as a whole is very much locked behind interesting exploitation of Mist and Wolf collision changes, which is a nice way to go about keeping certain areas off-limits. ...
A Stellar Quality Of Life Fix (That Works For 90% Of The Game)

Being able to recharge your weapons after death when difficult levels/bosses need half and/or full ammo of specific weapons to be completed is one of the quintessential changes necessary for reducing frustration in revisiting older Mega Man titles in the modern day. Now bosses like the Yellow Devil and Boobeam for example give the player more lenience in fighting them without resetting the stage if they have the lives to spare. Alongside addressing these level roadblocks based on ammo counts, weapons are also encouraged to be used more in a level since the new changes to how death works in...

I am Japanese, so my English is not so good (translated by Deepl), but there is no F-Zero Hack that I have been so absorbed in, From the first stage, the steep S-curve after the jump gives the challenger the shivers, and in the later stages, there are so many minefields that the second week becomes difficult if you don't avoid getting hit by bullets. However, the sense of joy you feel when you successfully slip through the minefields and jump into first place is an unusual and addictive sensation! If I had to say something, I would say that...

Awesome fine tuning of the legendary FFV battle system, great stuff! Never knew why Berserkers were so anomalous in combat, but now they don't need to be. Improvements like this are super inspiring and help boost the romhacking scene's quality above the official releases of this game.

I grew up playing FF6 and it has always seemed fun but janky compared to FFIV, FFV, and FFVII. This awesome work turns it into a much more strategic and rewarding experience-- I highly recommend this!! And since it's compatible with "A Soldier's Contingency" and other romhacks, this is a valuable asset for the entire FF6 community!

I've played through two different routes so far. Only issue I can bring up is: Fay takes over all the mid-mission Slippy dialogue. She's the one that has needed rescue most of the times, followed by Falco and then Miyu. I think Slippy should be right behind Fay in needing to be rescued, because right now he's been left with no dialogue aside from opening and ending stage dialogues. With that said, this has become the default way for me to play this game. Here's hoping the two girls can be added to Star Fox 64 in the...

First of all, let me say that this is a very well-done hack. The new tracks are challenging without being completely unfair, the new environments are beautiful, and the new music rocks as well. Excellent job on this hack all around and I highly recommend it. That being said, if you're going to record a playthrough for YouTube, do NOT use the MSU-1 soundtrack! "HAAWK for a 3rd Party" will hit you with 6 copyright claims and will strike your video down if you try to dispute!

I played this game with Version 1.22. This is an awesome ROM Hack that's definitely worth playing. There is some room for improvement. The creator of the ROM Hack did an amazing job with the level design and writing. The game also provides a fair, and not overly difficult challenge. If you're interested in playing a Zelda ROM Hack, you should definitely check this one out.

I know most the sprites from are ported over from the original Sonic the Hedgehog Game Gear but the custom sprites I think fit the style of S1 GG pretty well. The custom sprites look like they were made by Sega and Ancient! (Ancient made the Game Gear and SMS version of Sonic 1) My only issue is that it would neat, if the title screen had custom sprites matching the SMS/GG Sonic 1 title screen. Otherwise great hack, you should check it out!
