Such an amazing romhack super close to perfection

Written by: Wolfric - June 7, 2025

I've played through two different routes so far. Only issue I can bring up is: Fay takes over all the mid-mission Slippy dialogue. She's the one that has needed rescue most of the times, followed by Falco and then Miyu.   I think Slippy should be right behind Fay in needing to be rescued, because right now he's been left with no dialogue aside from opening and ending stage dialogues.   With that said, this has become the default way for me to play this game. Here's hoping the two girls can be added to Star Fox 64 in the...

Hey´.Thats the answer to Metalsmasher. You can use the filippo soundtracks and dont get banned from youtube or some.Thats what he added in the description of his soundtracks: This royalty-free track can be used as background music in videos as well. You can clear that notice and obtain rights to monetize your video with our License Certificate, follow this simple guide When you do a video with soundtrack. It is okay but you just dont got...

Great hack, but beware recording for YouTube with the MSU-1 soundtrack!

Written by: MetalSmasher86 - June 3, 2025

First of all, let me say that this is a very well-done hack. The new tracks are challenging without being completely unfair, the new environments are beautiful, and the new music rocks as well. Excellent job on this hack all around and I highly recommend it. That being said, if you're going to record a playthrough for YouTube, do NOT use the MSU-1 soundtrack! "HAAWK for a 3rd Party" will hit you with 6 copyright claims and will strike your video down if you try to dispute!

Awesome Zelda ROM Hack

Written by: John_Berger2 - May 27, 2025

I played this game with Version 1.22. This is an awesome ROM Hack that's definitely worth playing. There is some room for improvement. The creator of the ROM Hack did an amazing job with the level design and writing. The game also provides a fair, and not overly difficult challenge. If you're interested in playing a Zelda ROM Hack, you should definitely check this one out.

Nice little sprite hack!

Written by: PoyoPoyo1985 - May 20, 2025

I know most the sprites from are ported over from the original Sonic the Hedgehog Game Gear but the custom sprites I think fit the style of S1 GG pretty well. The custom sprites look like they were made by Sega and Ancient! (Ancient made the Game Gear and SMS version of Sonic 1) My only issue is that it would neat, if the title screen had custom sprites matching the SMS/GG Sonic 1 title screen. Otherwise great hack, you should check it out!

Improved readability

Written by: abraxas86 - May 19, 2025

While there's nothing wrong with the original font, I found that it is a bit difficult to read, especially with the amount of text in this game.  This font greatly improves readability and would recommend for anybody having a hard time with the original.  A mix of the two would be great - especially if the original font kicked in on descriptive actions - onomatopoeia, qoutes, etc.  But I get that ROM space is limited and having an additional font may take up more room than is available.

The colorful land of DreamLand

Written by: PoyoPoyo1985 - May 17, 2025

This color hack is better than Dream Land 1's color hack mainly because of better color choices and Kirby's Dream land 2 having more detailed backgrounds. Must play color hack of a great game!

Written by: PoyoPoyo1985 - May 17, 2025

I have always wanted to try this game and other Puyo/Madou Games but most of them were in japanese, which was mainly issue with all the RPGs. The aspects with translation is mainly the really quality english logos and fonts. There are no fonts or letters that look out of place here! Playing this game is no brainer

Amazing

Written by: Thirteen1355 - May 15, 2025

Amazing hack, absolutely worth playing. The effort that went into this is astounding. The music is great, the setting is awesome, the dungeon design is mind-bogglingly complex. The writing is witty and fun. This is the true Downfall Timeline's sequel. Just don't switch items while using a Bottle.

Outdated and unreliable tool.

This utility is not suitable for working with large files, such as a CD disk image.Contains an error in the algorithm that greatly increases the time it takes to find differences.

Good hack, but…

Written by: Weasel-Weasel - May 6, 2025

Good hack, but Classic Mode does not work. The patch reduces the ROM to less than a meg, and therefore will not load. Please fix this, as I really would like to try it out! 🙂 And yes, I'm patching the default one first, then the Classic Mode patch.

Very amazing job with this hack. Would like to see you do this for the other 3 games.

Written by: K3Productions - May 4, 2025

Wonderful job on this. I like the idea of autobooting to Pac-Attack without menu navigation but I must ask, can you also do this with Pac-Man, Pac-Man Arrangement, and Pac-Mania? If Possible can you also do this with Namco Museum (GBA)? Would like to see the standalone versions of the 5 games from there as well.

I wish this was available sooner… I love this plugin!

Written by: BlackPaladin - April 29, 2025

This plugin is a godsend when it comes to looking up compressed Konami RLE graphics!  This would've made looking up graphics in my old Dracula 2 and Nicol projects easier to find the necessary graphics at the time.  However, it does help me look for the area where I need to decompress.  (I only wish it was possible to edit directly in YY-CHR via this plugin, but any port in a storm.) Thank you so much for adding this plugin to YY-CHR!

Works Well With Other JP ROM Improvement Hacks

Written by: Andrewskey - April 6, 2025

Nowadays I've mostly been playing Mega Man 6 through the JP ROM alongside gameplay only enhancements such as Puresabe's Speed Optimization patch and MetHy's Start With Adaptors hack. While great hacks in their own right, I wanted to also read the small bits of texts available in between the gameplay despite myself not understanding Japanese that well at the time of this review. This translation worked flawlessly with the hacks I mentioned prior and was a cute way to revisit the game's silly plot of Dr. Wily wearing a cape and glasses at everyone's disbelief.

Hello everyone. I´m going to make a review of the game based on my experience, It will be spoilers: Sorry for my poor english, I just studied basic.  First of all I want to say thank you to Shadow501 for this project. I had a good time and It´s in my plans to play it again. An Excellent Recolor Alongside Minor But Notable Control Fixes

Written by: Andrewskey - March 20, 2025

The black costume from the early 90's films is best accentuated in this hack being displayed on the game's glorious sprite for Batman. Stage clears and the intro have also been appropriately recolored to the same quality as the original game. If the blue color for Batman doesn't appeal to you, try this great Sunsoft action platformer with this hack for a new sleek costume to enjoy.  An extra addition to the palette swap is omega_rugal's movement hack which aids the game's pacing without major changes to the player's physics besides a more reliably short slide. This hack specifically can...

Exciting Patch That Makes The Game More Enjoyable

Written by: Adrian Gauna - March 20, 2025

Having each checkpoint award you with 45 additional seconds every time you cross to the next stage makes the game very easy and forgivable to many crashes. If good enough, you can plow through the arcade mode with each checkpoint giving you so much time that the timer gets to 99 seconds.  This is now my go to ROM patch from now on when playing ''Super Hang-On''.  Simple but very effective patch. Love it! 5 out of 5 stars!

Just WOW! I didn't even know that SNES Lemmings needed this treatment so much till I've seen the results.  It'd be nice to have a japanese compatible version (not uncensoring needed ;D ). Anyway thank you very much for this welcome addition :D
