My name is Leviathan Mist, and I have been hacking ROMs for over 20 years. You may know me as the guy who ported the custom music into Final Fantasy Rebalanced (NES) and Grond's Final Fantasy (NES), or the guy who created a few enhancement patches for Final Fantasy VI, which has been used in prominent hacks such as the Ted Woolsey Uncensored Edition, Return of the Dark Sorcerer, and FF6 T-Edition. Aside from that, my hacks have mostly been very minor bugfixes or enhancements to a few NES, SNES, and GBA games. I have been idle in the ROMhacking scene as of late, but there are still projects on the backburner that I could be motivated to revive if I have the motivation to do so.
To me, this community is just a continuation of what we have already had for many years. Although RHDN was my staple go-to while it was around, its loss does not mean the loss of ROM hacking, or the community we have built over the years. As long as we have passionate hackers willing to dedicate their time and effort to modify games, we should have a community to support them.
