Description
Surging Aura is a Japan-only RPG released by Sega for the Mega Drive in 1995. It was developed by Japan Media Programming, with character and monster designs by Mutsumi Inomata. The game is notable for its magician protagonist, its unique spell-chanting system, and the atmosphere typical of late-era Mega Drive RPGs.
This patch allows Surging Aura, originally released only in Japanese, to be played in English and Korean. The game text supports both languages, and the desired language can be selected from the options menu. Depending on the selected language, the patch switches font resources and adjusts some UI handling.
The English translation is based on the script provided by RedComet/Guadozoku, and a Korean translation is also included. VWF has been applied to the English text so that it displays more naturally, and various UI elements have been adjusted so that longer translated lines and item names can be displayed in menus and battle screens.
