Tetris Redux July. 30th 2026 BillyTime! Games

This patch is designed to overhaul Tetris for the Sega Genesis

Features:

*Hold System for pieces (Replaces drop button reserved usually for C) *Piece randomization replace with 7-Bag System *Press up for fast drop *Hi-Score SRAM (Score saves when game ends and returns to sega screen, score loads on boot, defaults when no save present.) *Better time window to drag pieces across the floor *Faster input window (Rotate faster, rotate on ground, rotate when piece appears)

How to Patch:

1.Grab a copy of Tetris (Japan).md 2.Grab Floating IPS (https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/1040/) 3.Patch your rom with the corresponding BPS file

Amazing, it's a huge improvement over the original!! Thanks for giving the Genesis the version of Tetris it deserves. Only thing that would make it better is being able to see what piece is held in 2 player. One issue I've noticed is the music doesn't play on the MiSTer core, not sure if this is an issue with the core but the regular version of the game has the music working fine.
