Streets of Rage 2 - Maximum Carnage Edition (Genesis) Romhack

This Streets of Rage 2 ROM hack replaces Max, Axel, and one of the game’s bosses with Venom, Spider-Man, and Carnage, respectively. Additionally, all characters can run, and the hack features a new opening story involving Venom, Spider-Man, and Carnage.

What was done in version 1.1:

During gameplay, it was discovered that Carnage in Stage 5 experienced a color palette glitch. This bug has now been fixed.

What’s new in Version 1.2:

– Venom’s sprite when knocked down was edited; the shadow was removed.

– Since I don’t know how to replace Max’s and Axel’s portraits with those of Venom and Spider-Man, respectively, the character selection screen portraits have been removed. I apologize for this.

– All four playable characters can now run diagonally.

– Blaze and Skate have their character designs from Streets of Rage 3.

– A bug affecting Skate’s hit points, which caused them to be misplaced, has been fixed. This explains the changes in the graphics for both Blaze and Skate. Blaze’s graphics, reminiscent of her appearance in the original 1991 game as seen in the previous version of the hack, were the source of the bug. To compensate for the changes in Blaze’s graphics, Skate’s graphics were also modified.
