Elemental Shields In Sonic 1 V1.0

This is a hack that was originally made in 2014 by Clownacy. With the first build finished, he never provided a download link and for 6 years there was no way to download it and play it. In 2020 Clownacy decided to remake the hack again from scratch, completing it and providing a download link. However the download link has since expired or is corrupted and doesn't let anyone download it. I (Adrian) managed to download it long before it expired and i'm archiving this hack here for safe keeping for the community.

The only thing this hack does differently is add the elemental shields in Sonic 1. All the original shield monitors are now replaced with multi elemental shield monitors. When you come to a shield monitor it will quickly scroll through each elemental icon and you have to be quick to open it on the icon you want. Labyrinth Zone is the only zone in which all the shields are replaced with water shields.

INSTRUCTION:

Inside the ZIP file you'll find the IPS patch, it is in Lunar IPS format and must be patched to the (Europe,USA) version of Sonic 1.

When patched you also get the scrolling clouds in Green Hill, the water rippling effect in Labyrinth and the multi parallax background scrolling of Marble, Spring Yard and Scrap Brain zones.
