Excellent Graphics Upgrade
Highly recommend this work, it makes SGG feel fresh and new! The sprites showing Artoria in armor look fantastic, and match the game's world perfectly. Spell animations are also extremely well done, the level of quality and detail is completely on par with the original game art.
Thoughtful details like adjusting the extra life icon and map sprites add to the polish of the graphics overhaul; providing 4 options for the main character make this a standout project.
Top tier graphics hack!
This is undoubtedly the best female protagonist mod I've played for a multitude of reasons.
Artoria's new sprite sets for both the "Maiden" and "Knight" variants, as well as her upgradeable armor sets, look fantastic. You also have the option to have Artoria's near-death state be her in "briefs" or a "nightgown." This customizability allows you to find the combination that's right for you. Personally, my favorite combination is "Maiden + Nightgown."
While a lot of character swap hacks have this issue where the new protagonist clashes with the game's characters and setting, Wolfric and company did a great job in making sure Artoria's rather adorable design fits seamlessly with the "Makaimura" universe.
Another thing I appreciate about this hack since "v2.2" (If memory serves) is that there's an entirely optional (though highly recommended) FastROM patch which will greatly reduce the amount of slowdown that often occurs in this game and thus provides a smoother gameplay experience.
If you're looking for a unique take on a classic game, this hack should fit the bill just fine.
