Great concept that needs further tweaking for consistency

Adding a double jump to a game series known for its fair share of punishing pixel perfect platforming would make this an easy recommendation for anyone looking to revisit these games. However, this patch is sadly not that reliable at the moment. The main inconsistency comes from whenever Mega Man goes through (walking/climbing up or down a ladder into) a screen transition as he'll have to jump/fall normally at least once on the next screen in order to activate the double jump ability again. The exceptions to this quirk is whenever Mega Man drops into starting a stage or when falling through a screen transition as he'll already have access to the ability for that whole screen before another transition occurs.

Another small quirk I noticed with ladders was that you can double jump onto one, but you won't be able to double jump again until you hit the ground. This was most notable on Elec Man's stage, where I was testing both the USA and Europe versions of the hack, since it made recovering from hits on obstacles about as difficult as in the original game.

Alas, I still give this 3 stars because getting to double jump through the game can be fun when you understand how to properly activate the ability, yet you'll be spending half of your time in every screen making sure whether you can actually rely on the ability functioning or not. Hoping this patch gets tweaked in the future because I really do love this idea!
