Version 1.3.0 of Romhack Plaza is here, with quite a few new features and long-awaited updates. Here’s a summary of what’s new:
Rest API & Webhooks
The API is back, allowing you to retrieve data from entries using simple requests. This is useful for your projects or websites.
The API comes with a webhooks system that can notify you whenever an entry or post is updated! It’s up to you to get as creative as possible in incorporating it into your website, project, or portfolio for your entries.
All of this also comes with new API documentation.
Notices on the Main Site
Notices can now appear on the main site in addition to the forum. If they are set to be hidden, they will be hidden on both sites. Notices can also appear in the menu.
The Supporter Role
For those who have made donations, or will make donations, you may be eligible to receive a Supporter role on the site, which will grant you certain benefits such as unlimited API keys, Webhooks subscriptions, and other perks.
We’ve set up a system so that you can automatically receive this role on the site. If you’ve visited the “Support Us” page and used the same email address, the role will be automatically assigned within a few minutes. Otherwise, you can claim the role by entering your Ko-Fi email address in the claim form!
If you’ve made a donation in the past or are having an issue, feel free to send me a message so I can grant you the role.
Hideable Filters and Collapsible Menu
You can now hide the filters on the “Database,” “News,” and “Reviews” pages, as well as hide the main menu on the left, which will leave only the icons visible!
RSS Feeds
An RSS feed is now available for entries and news on the following pages:

Reactions to Entries, Reviews, and News
You can now react to reviews and news with a “like” or “dislike.” (This also means that the author of a post cannot write a review of their own post, and a member cannot write two reviews on the same post); these reactions will be factored into the Reaction Score. Additionally, if someone leaves a review on your post, the number of stars will correspond to the Reaction Score you’ll receive for that entry!
Forge Development
Goodbye Gitea, hello Forgejo. The site’s code is now hosted on https://forge.romhackplaza.org, and you can also host your own romhack source code there and link it to your entry!
Profile Improvements
You can now see your review and news counters on your profiles, as well as a page to view all your news and reviews.
Changing the Order of Credits
You can now change the order of credits in your entries.
Entry Warnings for Moderation
Entry managers can now issue warnings for entries. Additionally, when rejecting an entry from the queue, they can choose to lock the entry or lock it and issue an automatic warning.
Entry Redirects
As soon as you change an entry’s title, a new slug is created, and a redirect from the old link remains in place. These can be managed by Entry Managers but are visible to you.
Entry Design Improvements
Now, the first image in the gallery appears as the entry’s background. Additionally, if you go to the entry’s “Comments” thread, you’ll see a simplified version of the entry’s header.
