Been on a bit of a Hazbin kick for the last few years now, ever since the pilot.....but only because I've been making an ongoing comedy based webcomic mashing Hazbin with Undertale. Didn't even plan to make an ongoing webcomic either, just decided one day to draw a one off comic of Frisk from Undertale meeting Charlie and it was such I decided to make a story of it. Wound up with about five-six years of an ongoing story that also has a bunch of other stuff like Spawn, Devil May Cry, Doom and whatever other stuff I can slip in for one off cameo gags here and there. It's been some of my best work in recent years, so much so that after I finished the initial "Underhell" run I went and rebooted it as "Hazbin Tale" going complete slice of life comedy with no strict continuity to hold me down.

Hell because I was already knee deep in my own Hazbin Hotel with blackjack and hookers, it kind of softened the blow of how terrible the actual Amazon Prime show turned out to be. Yeah, eight episodes, ten writers, an executive producer that just wouldn't part with a single idea or character she made for it. Yeah, it was as bad as people say it is. And yeah I didn't like it, in fact it still dumbfounds me how Team Four Star kind of fell into giving me a better "Hazbin Hotel" than Vivienne Medrano could. But because I was already doing this one webcomic it just didn't bother me as much as with everyone. So even now I'm still a Hazbin fan with a huge asterisk at the end...

There was just something about Hazbin and Undertale that just clicked together nicely like gears in a clock. You could put the characters of each side by side and they don't look out of place from each other. Hell you could even toss, say, Gaslight District in the group shot and it still doesn't look foreign. There's just this unintended cohesion sitting there begging to be used, screaming to be capitalized on. Hell I've been doing pocket sized revisions of the idea in text form, just spinning unfinished ideas of other possible stories that incorporate Hazbin and Undertale

Man I love crossovers that can just mesh together seamlessly like that. Sometimes I just get ideas for crossovers I wish I could write more in dept about. Like one story idea for Tron meets Digimon, where the MPC takes over the internet and this User named "Tai" has to adopt the Rinzler Armor and team up with these animal like ISOs knowns as Digimon to battle the MPC's forces. Or some hellish melding of the DC and Marvel universes resulting in a zombie apocalypse so severe that the remaining heroes have to bring in Spawn to defeat the undead hordes. Or a retelling of the Death of Superman/Reign of the Superman that happens to have Goku in there, coming to grips with the loss of his friend and having to grow and mature passed his Saiyan tendencies, eventually defeating Cyborg Superman and adopting the mantle for himself. Or hey, what if Jump Force wasn't hot garbage and Light Yagami was the bad guy? Able to just wipe out almost 90% of Shonen Jump with just the Death Note, even gets his hands on the Golden Arrow giving himself a Stand called "Black Hole Son". And the only way Ichigo Kurosaki is able to beat him is by using a removed Killer Queen to rig the Death Note as a bomb. Or, here's a thought, a jaded Deadpool story where he's part of the Suicide Squad alongside Harley Quinn....and through some freak accident Harley becomes aware of the fourth wall, and instead of a dime a dozen meme fest it's two characters struggling with sobering existential dread and finding comfort in each other, a couple of losers making the best of what they got.

Yeah that's just how I be. I'm a sucker for crossovers, namely ones where ideas can just come together nicely like gears in a clock. None of that basic rudimentary Kingdom Hearts/Smash Bros./Fortnite shenanigans stuff. I'm talking fully realized fully fleshed out crossovers where you don't have to question how or why it's even a crossover, you can just sit back and enjoy a slightly different take on characters you knew. Why bother asking who would win in a fight between Goku versus Superman when you can tell a fun story of them coming together to stop Thanos from gathering the seven Dragon Balls? Or something...
