About Mother 3 “Censored” Edition and some blabla

Imagine if Youtube hid the dislike count, oh wait...
I always thought that it was a strange decision on their part. Apparently, certain news related videos were getting a ton of thumbs down, such as those from CNN and NBC, among others and Google decided to remove this feature for that reason. At least, that's what I remember reading about it years ago. Anyway, if you're using Firefox as your browser, this plugin works great to restore the visible thumbs down on videos:

Oh, and awesome work on the PoPoLoCrois II translation by the way! I played both games earlier this year and am now currently playing PoPoRogue. This series always had such nice graphics, truly the peak of the 2D era for RPGs.
To Marokazam and Recca, you both make interesting arguments. On one hand Marokazam makes a good point, if the patch bothers you so much, just ignore it but Recca also has the right or should have the right to give the patch a dislike and say something negative about it.

Guys whatever your views are, try not to personally name call each other, once you resort to name calling you've lost the argument.
Fair enough. I admit that I might have lost my cool a bit back there, but in all fairness, this person did fire first!

When I was still living in Romania, many of my neighbors were Magypsies, and they never took offense to it.

You've all been a great audience! Thank you and goodnight!

Edit: I thought that we might also enjoy a little song to close the night:

Lighten up, it was just a joke! Like I've said before, having lived in Romania amongst many Romani people, never once have I heard anyone referring to the term "gypsy" as a slur of any kind. The singer named Nicolae Guță often refers to himself as "The gypsy with the golden voice." Y'all need to take it a little easy! (y)

Despite what you may think, I am not the audience for this hack because the content of Mother 3 didn't bother me on my first play through or ever. "gypsy" being a slur is new to me and aside from the context of Mother 3, I never see people bring it up. It really matters what Romani people actually think at the end of the day. Irregardless, if this romhack lets a section of the population actually play and enjoy Mother 3, more power to them. But for me, I will use Tomato's original translation, uncensored.

As for my previous comment and screenshot, you seem more than well aware you are "disgruntling a snowflake" and "rustling some feathers" while also typing paragraphs upon paragraphs about the far left. Maybe it's time to lighten up. Play Mother 3. It's more fun and relaxing.

Where did he show that this upset him in any way?
"lighten up" idk how much lighter he could've been.

Also your winks just make you look more of an idiot than you normally seem.

I meant the frowny face on my post by Simone D. Alemanno.

And originally, I really didn't bother at all with this hack and simply ignored it until Marokazam decided to go all SJW on everyone.

Also, the winks were merely to show how obnoxious all those popcorn icons were before.

I reckon it's a term that varies a bit by perspective.

Some people of Irish descent are called gypsies if they travel around a lot, but the word can often be interpreted as neutral. Other times, you'll hear the word "paddy" being used for the Irish. Whether it's seen as positive or negative really depends on the tone of the speaker. Anyone caught acting like a native Irish person will quite quickly be called a "plastic paddy" by those born and raised on the island.

...

As for the hack itself, I have no strong opinion either way.

The original fan translation seems fine to me. I remember it attracting wild attention when it was released. However, people can also opt to play this or express their point of view.

I can definitely see the argument about selective censorship, but that's the author's prerogative.

Some things about the game are probably quite shocking to different people. Could be due to Japanese sensibilities or Itoi's zany vision.
