Hi everyone,

I released a minor restoration hack for the SNES port of Street Fighter Alpha 2 a long time ago, that restores the red blood and Sodom's name back to the international versions of this game, you can check it out here: https://romhacks.org/romhacks/street-fighter-alpha-2-minor-restoration-snes/

I discovered a long time ago that the background stages for Birdie, Guy and Sodom are censored in the international versions, here's what they look like in the Japanese version:

On Sodom's stage, his truck has his name on the license plate and the trailer:

On Guy's stage, the word "KILL YOU" appears on the wall:

On Birdie's stage, there's two people using the urinals and when you use a super move, the door of the left stall will open and sometimes someone will be in there:



The problem is I don't know how to restore them, that's why I'm looking for a SNES ROM hacking expert that can help me on this.

If someone can help me on this, that would be great.

I already gave you this information twice. Does the information I gave you not work? I gave you all the pointers to the compressed data and I gave an example that the pointers and compressed data locations for jap and Eng roms are correct. Just move the compressed data and update the pointers. Have you even tried?

    slidelljohn I haven’t check it out yet, I’ve been pretty busy lately. I’ll take a look at it in a couple weeks, once I fully upgraded my Mac and making sure everything’s working right.
