Why hasn't anyone done a ROM hack of Castlevania (NES) based on the movie Phantasm (1979)?

Seriously seems like a lost opportunity to take a classic existing game that has been hacked to good results and create something awesome based on this cult classic film. You play a good game Booooyyy 🤨🪩

This is an overview of the reasons that someone should do this ROM hack. If I was savvy I would.
Why Castlevania Fits Phantasm So WellPhantasm is a surreal horror film with gothic graveyard/mortuary settings, a tall menacing antagonist (the Tall Man), creepy dwarves (lurkers), deadly flying sentinel spheres that drill victims, dream-like/nightmarish sequences, chases, and undead themes. Castlevania aligns strongly:Side-scrolling action platformer with whip combat (easy to reskin as a bat, chainsaw, or other improvised weapon from the films), sub-weapons (holy water, cross, etc., perfect for spheres, knives, or traps), and boss fights.
Inherent horror atmosphere: Castles, graveyards, undead enemies, gothic music, and spooky vibes. Many existing hacks already amp up the horror (e.g., Castlevania: The Holy Relics, Horror of Dracula).

Flying enemies: Medusa heads and other aerial foes are a great starting point for the iconic flying silver spheres (sentinels) that drill heads.
Boss potential: The Tall Man could replace Dracula or act as a recurring mid-boss/final threat. Dwarves fit as small enemy variants. Levels could mix graveyards, mortuaries, dream realms, and highways (with car sections hacked in creatively).
Hackability: Extremely popular for ROM hacks with tons of tools, documentation, and community experience. People have already done major overhauls with new stages, enemies, relics/items, graphics, and music.

You could turn it into something like a Phantasm-themed "Mike's Revenge" or "Tall Man Terror," with levels progressing through cemeteries, the mausoleum, otherworldly dimensions, etc.
