In Super Mario Advance, all the music tracks that originally came from the SNES version of Super Mario Bros. 2 / USA (included in Super Mario All-Stars) were transposed to play a semitone higher. Interestingly enough, inspecting the sequence data of the SMB2 music tracks reveals that they were actually programmed in their original pitch. However, the developers later included detune commands in each track to transpose the notes to another key, which is what you hear in the actual game.
