I think the fact that Sonic 1 Redux was put on something like SSRG to begin with warrants the mob to release heavy criticism as newbie hackers shouldn't post tiny modded changes over there without expecting a hammering. Sonic 1 Redux should have been released on Youtube through a simple file sharing link explaining about each change in detail rather than a forum like SSRG.
About the other hacks I mentioned, I guess it wasn't really necessary but I really dislike Sonic joke hacks as they're just created for a cheap 5 minute laugh and don't offer any real heavy game play of any sort.
