Even though my game started as a hack of Super Mario World (SMW), it’s taken a completely different direction. It’s no longer connected to Mario at all—I rebuilt everything from the ground up, including the graphics and gameplay mechanics, to create something unique. That’s why I’m calling it a hackbrew: a term that represents a project born from modifying an existing game, but evolved into an original creation with its own identity. The goal was to go beyond the idea of a simple hack and combine the creativity of a homebrew with the foundation of a hack.
