The Submissions Rules says: "Not Allowed: [...] 2. Homebrew or unlicensed games that are currently being sold."
This site has a Homebrew section were homebrew games can be uploaded. It makes sense that the Homebrew section of the site would only allow free homebrew to be uploaded and homebrew that is being sold is not allowed.
But what about hack patches for homebrew or other recently released NES games that are being sold? I can't tell if this rule also means "Not allowed: hacks patches for homebrew or unlicensed games that are currently being sold."
Specifically, the thread [Technical] Trying to enable Dev Mode in Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland is discussing the NES version of the recent game Rugrats: Adventures in Gameland. (The main game is a PC game, but it includes an NES version.)
I have figured out appropriate changes to the NES file to enable the new game screen to show the dev mode (no damage) difficulty level and description text. Is posting a patch for that on this site allowed?
