Bio-Hazard Battle (Prototype) Modem Mode Patch The prototype version of Bio-Hazard Battle includes a modem mode, with all the original code intact. Originally, the game communicated through the Genesis/Mega Drive Model 1’s 3rd controller port (EXT port), where a 1200-baud modem would typically connect. This patch redirects the game’s communication to the 2nd controller port, enabling two consoles to link together for networked play. Instead of the original 1200-baud modem, the patch uses a serial link cable and increases the baud rate from 1200 to 4800 (max speed the genesis can communicate at).
