Why is the text so dark on the latest posts? Both the background and text are a very dark shade of grey, making it quite difficult to read. It's actually downright unreadable unless you highlight the text in the latest post. Perhaps it would be better to simply make all text in posts white. It would definitely be more visible and readable that way.

Also, this is the only site that seems to randomly freeze and stop working from time to time. I'm using Firefox and this glitch only seems to happen here which is quite odd (both on the message board and main site). Every other website seems to work just fine. I've no idea what could be causing this, neither updating Firefox, clearing the cache/history nor restarting the browser and even the computer itself seems to fix this randomly occurring glitch.

I change some color for unread posts. See if it changes something. If it's not changed, please send me a screenshot.
For frezzing, I don't use, I use Firefox too and I don't have any problems, weird.

To Cyneprepou4uk and bogaa:

First and foremost, I didn't vote because I didn't have a preference then (and I don't have it now). My only concern was to keep old posts and to avoid a constant back and forth of forums making any continuity impossible.

Now, about the things you mentioned:

- The problem with flarum, as I understood it, was that the groups and topics were all merged in the update and main sections. Which made the organization to find any topic that wasn't updated recently a nightmare.

- I do agree with you about the colorful tags and the recently added tags as a nice improvement from flarum. But I also agree with php-bb's organization as a better structured one (maybe it's because I like to see a whole list of the sections instead of the last updated threads, or maybe I am getting old haha).

I believe we can get the best of both world with a bit of tweaks. The problem at this time (and before the poll) is basically that the forum is bare-bones, and the people don't know how to pinpoint the problems and prefer to rely on old habits (hence the full change of style).

Hopefully this helps all, and sorry if i forgot something key for the explanations.

From a user perspective I can't see how clicking on a tag is much different then only having a categories. I feel you can organize it the way you like may be I use it wrong.
Here on PHPBB I might have clicked on the "NEWPHP topic" and not realize it made a new page till you pinged me on discord.. happen to me a view times on RHDN as well.

Then I did think others might had liked flarum as well but just never tried. I probably still do the survey on some point.. As I starting some topics it made me realize how bad I am off verbally and that might be a turn-away thing for a most people anyway. Currently I have other ideas what could help the activity around hacking games.

For frezzing, I don't use, I use Firefox too and I don't have any problems, weird.

I think that I've found out what the problem is. It seems to be an issue with the (Online Certificate Status Protocol) stapling due to this website's SSL/TLS certificate, which might be outdated or something.
I've found a temporary solution for this here:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1028755

In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.

Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.

Copy the next security.ssl.enable_ocsp_stapling and paste it in the search field

Double-click on it to make it false

Close the page, exit firefox and restart it.

Probably the problem is the web site, when the problem resolved by the site, go back and switch the setting to true again.

And as I've mentioned before, this is the only website which seems to have this error, at least for me anyway. Today, I wasn't even able to access this site at all until I implemented the above solution. However, it seems best to leave this feature on rather than off permanently, so hopefully this issue with the site's SSL/TLS certificate will be fixed soon.

Edit: Here's the error message that displays when trying to access this site normally without the above fix:

Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to romhackplaza.org. The OCSP response does not include a status for the certificate being verified.

Error code: MOZILLA_PKIX_ERROR_OCSP_RESPONSE_FOR_CERT_MISSING

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

A lot of complaints have been made about the use of Flarum, so we've decided to switch to PhpBB. Unfortunately, messages can't be transferred automatically. You'll have to rewrite your topics manually...

We leave this backup available so that you can retrieve your topics.

To login, you can use the same creditenals as main website. (Same username and password). If you want to edit your password or E-Mail, do it via Wordpress and do it after via PHPBB if it was not updated automatically.

Backup link: https://romhackplaza.org/old-flarum.

I'll chime in and say it's much better! Very much better!

I do have a good reason to spit. This is before/after screenshots. Makes me want to barf. I don't know what other users were complaining about.

You're on mobile. Many of us use PC's, tablets or Macs. The old forum software is not very easy to use. This is much better.
